Application of Modified Information Criterion to Multiple Change Point Problems
نویسندگان
چکیده
The modified information criterion (MIC) is applied to detect multiple change points in a sequence of independent random variables. We find that the method is consistent in selecting the correct model, and the resulting test statistic has a simple limiting distribution. We show that the estimators for locations of change points achieve the best convergence rate, and their limiting distribution can be expressed as a function of a random walk. A simulation is conducted to demonstrate the usefulness of this method by comparing the powers between the modified information criterion and the Schwarz information criterion. 1991 AMS Subject Classification: Primary 62H15; Secondary 62H10.

Soft Computing Based on a Modified MCDM Approach under Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets
The current study set to extend a new VIKOR method as a compromise ranking approach to solve multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems through intuitionistic fuzzy analysis. Using compromise method in MCDM problems contributes to the selection of an alternative as close as possible to the positive ideal solution and far away from the negative ideal solution, concurrently. Using Atanasso...
متن کاملBayesian change point estimation in Poisson-based control charts
Precise identification of the time when a process has changed enables process engineers to search for a potential special cause more effectively. In this paper, we develop change point estimation methods for a Poisson process in a Bayesian framework. We apply Bayesian hierarchical models to formulate the change point where there exists a step < /div> change, a linear trend and a known multip...
متن کاملGenome analysis Modified screening and ranking algorithm for copy number variation detection
Motivation: Copy number variation (CNV) is a type of structural variation, usually defined as genomic segments that are 1 kb or larger, which present variable copy numbers when compared with a reference genome. The screening and ranking algorithm (SaRa) was recently proposed as an efficient approach for multiple change-points detection, which can be applied to CNV detection. However, some pract...

The purpose of this study is to predict the management of change through the use of information technology components in the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran. To collect data, a questionnaire was used to survey the acceptance and use of information technology in the workplace (Davis, 1989) in four sections: perceived usefulness with 6 questions, perceptual ease with ...
